We had an amazing two day workshop with French darkroom alchemist Gaëlle Rouard projecting loops made over the weekend.
During the workshop, we explored the mysterious world of solarisation:
Starting in the darkroom, we produced 16mm film loops by contact printing found footage. The process was then interrupted at the developer stage and we intentionally introduced light back to the emulsion to solarise the image. We learnt so much, thank you Gaëlle! The workshop ended with projecting some of the loops made during the two days.
