11am – 5pm
Led by James Holcombe of no.w.here, London
For this workshop, participants will shoot colour negative film with Bolex cameras, which we will then process in C41 chemistry. We will however bypass the bleach bath stage which normally removes silver from the emulsion. The film will be projected as a colour negative, then we will immerse it in mordencage chemistry, which causes silver in the image to slip, drip, and slide revealing the flowing colour layers which make up film emulsion.
